Monday turned out to be a really fun-filled day. Valentine's in the morning and Disneyland all day long. 'Loved' spotting all of the heart shaped treasures around the park. The photo above shows a few of my faves.
Our first stop at Disneyland is always the Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street. This is what I really wanted to eat for breakfast. . .but I chose something a tiny bit healthier.
N was pretty set on 'The Rockets' as his first ride today. I completey thought it would have been the Carousel or 'Big World' (aka It's a Small World). Those were his favorite rides last month.
The BEST part of the day (in my opinion) was this:
Yes, It's the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ!!! B and I used to eat there ALL OF THE TIME when we were 'daters'. . .think early '90's' people. :) Then they made the HUGE mistake of closing it down.
At Christmas last year (when we got passes again) we walked by it. . .and nearly fell over because it was open!! We had already had a wonderful Mexican Food meal and decided to put it on our 'to do' list. It's a little different now. . .it's an all you can eat place vs. order a specific plate kinda thing. . .and the prices do reflect it. I will say though :) we went for lunch -which was a lot cheaper than the cost of their dinner- and it FILLED US UP through the rest of the day/evening.
All in all it was GREAT. Great food, great music, great memories -both old and new. The kids were laughing, clapping and dancing. . .what more could you ask for! (except. . .food not on bones. . .I have a thing about that -LOL!)
